MPI Japan held a very well attended seminar for over 120 pension executives and plan sponsors in Tokyo with the focus on benchmarking, performance attribution, and hedge fund risk evaluation. The seminar was hosted by the Tokyo Stock Exchange, MPI’s strategic partner in Japan. In addition to Michael Markov, who spoke on the evolution of Style Analysis methodologies and Hedge Fund analysis, other speakers included Mr. Manabu Miyamoto, President, MPI Japan, Inc.; Mr. Yasuchika Asaoka, Executive Director, Pension Fund Association of Japan; Mr. Noboru Yamaguchi, Managing Director & C.I.O., JTB Pension Fund and Mr. Yasuo Tobiyama, Executive Officer, Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc.

MPI opens a new company, MPI Japan, Inc. with the office in Tokyo to serve institutional investors in Japan.

MPI’s Director of Marketing participated in a panel discussion about standards for selecting a perfomance measurement system at the “Attribution 2001” conference held by Institute for International Research in New York City.

Among the enhancements found in this release are multi-currency support, added flexibility in presenting peer group statistics, improved date management in charts and graphs, and new relative performance measures.
